John Dempster - Senior Instructor
PGA Qualified Golf Professional.
John was born in Lisburn, Northern Ireland in 1960.
His early life was spent studying and playing music and did not actually
play golf until he
was 14 years old.
In 1976 he moved to London to study music and enjoyed a successful career
as a professional musician until 1993.
Having achieved a golf handicap of 1, John decided to
persue golf as a career and entered the PGA training
scheme, whilst working at Kingswood Golf & Country
Club in Surrey. Three years later he moved to Tyrrells
Wood Golf Club in Surrey where he enjoyed two and
a half years as Assistant Golf Professional at this
fine members club.
A short spell with the American Golf Coporation at Addington
in Surrey was followed by three years at Pachesham Park Golf Centre,
where he specialised
in teaching and custom fitting and became manager of
the computerised custom fit centre, owned by the Foremost Golf Group.
John moved to the Chessington Golf Centre on 1st April
2003 as a Senior Instructor in the academy and to
head up the Custom Fit Department in the Chessington
golf centre golf store. John is an exceptional communicator
and has built up a tremendous reputation in Surrey
for his teaching skills. Working with all levels of
golfer from beginner to fellow professionals, John
will give you a better understanding of your
game, which will allow you to play to your true potential
very quickly.
